Replacing a 63-year-old plant with a new facility featuring advanced filtration technology. Our role includes engaging the community through meetings and forums, supporting local subcontractors, and addressing water quality issues like discoloration. Partnering with The Haskell Company and CDM Smith, we’re committed to delivering the project efficiently while promoting local economic growth and sustainability.
The Utility Special District is advancing Riviera Beach’s infrastructure by developing a new Water Treatment Plant to replace the outdated 63-year-old facility. This new plant will feature cutting-edge filtration technology to resolve long-standing water quality issues like discoloration and hardness. It is a key element of the city’s broader initiative to modernize its facilities and infrastructure.
Acuity Design Group is central to this project, handling community engagement to ensure transparency and active resident involvement. They organize public meetings and forums, providing updates and gathering feedback from the community. Their efforts help build local support and facilitate a smooth transition to the new plant. In addition, ADG prioritizes local economic impact by involving local subcontractors and businesses in the construction process.
The Haskell Company and CDM Smith have been chosen to lead the construction of the new facility due to their successful track record with similar projects. They, along with ADG, will ensure the project is completed efficiently within the planned 36-month timeline, with no disruption to water service. This comprehensive approach supports the “Reimagine Riviera Beach” initiative, driving infrastructure improvements, enhancing water quality, and fostering community growth and sustainability.
