ORANGE PARK

Acuity Design Group (ADG), in partnership with the Haskell Company, is working with the Town of Orange Park on its Vision 2040 plan. This initiative follows the completion of various long-standing projects and addresses the Town Council's recognition of the need for a cohesive 20-year vision to guide future development. While Orange Park is financially stable and has made significant infrastructure improvements, it has faced challenges related to its identity, lacking a unified vision for its future. The Vision 2040 plan aims to enhance Orange Park's reputation as a desirable community in Florida by establishing strategic direction and outlining measurable goals.

The strategic plan is crucial for the town as it provides clear direction and outlines quantifiable benchmarks for progress. It serves as a practical tool for guiding both daily operations and long-term decisions, allowing the town to evaluate its progress and make necessary adjustments throughout its legislative cycles. The plan will also explore the potential development of residential and commercial properties, focusing on optimizing renovations and expansions to meet the needs of an active population situated between a major city to the north and a rapidly growing area to the south. Addressing concerns related to extensive pass-through traffic is also a key aspect of the plan.

Vision 2040 incorporates innovative planning and development strategies that promote a diverse economy, vibrant rural and suburban areas, and the preservation of historic sites. Additionally, the plan emphasizes the importance of facilities that support healthy recreational activities while adhering to the requirements of the Community Planning Act and protecting environmentally sensitive areas. Through these efforts, ADG and Haskell Company are helping Orange Park create a comprehensive and forward-thinking vision that will guide its growth and development over the next two decades, ensuring it remains a thriving community in Florida.
